- Canal aspect: The agent does not define the boundaries - I suspect it does not adjoin the canal bank and there is no clear towpath in this area - but there are great views over the Driffield Navigation. Frodingham Landing moorings are immediately to the west of the property. The agent says, "Although a mooring is not available at the moment, it might be possible to secure one in the future".
- Flood Risk - it seems this has been a tricky one to sell, and I'm sure that's due to the flood risk, which is classified as 'High'. You can see how it looks during floods at the beginning of this video. It's the white house in the centre of the opening shot. However, the house has been built on piling and is designed specifically to minimise the impact of any incidents. I have found no evidence of a large, dedicated flood-alleviation scheme for the North Frodingham area.
- The high risk will make mortgaging this property a challenge, and resale could be difficult. But you do get a lot of house for the money. And if you're a cash buyer with your eyes wide open, you could consider a cheeky offer!!
